Hon Vincent Byron Jr. and Mrs. Byron sign Book of Condolences at the Embassy of the Republic of China on Taiwan in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis in regard to the death of Taiwan’s first democratically elected President Lee, Teng-Hui who passed away on 30th July 2020.  The former President had served his country from 1988 to 2000. The signing was done in the presence of the Taiwanese Ambassador His Excellency Tom Lee.

The Government of the Republic of China on Taiwan has had a long standing diplomatic relationship with St. Kitts and Nevis which has brought invaluable benefits to our Federation. In more recent times the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs has been the beneficiary of Taiwan’s generosity in support of the efforts of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis to digitize the Land Registry with the building out of a Land Administration Information System. This is just one of a host of initiatives in relation to which the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs has received financial and other support from the Taiwanese government.
